Rhonda Dowdy Will Lead Sales and Business Development Efforts for Growing Healthcare Communication Technology Company

Raleigh, N.C. May 21, 2018 – MD Interconnect, a healthcare communication technology company, today announced that Rhonda Dowdy has joined the company as its new Vice President of Sales. With her 15 years of healthcare technology sales experience, Dowdy will focus on accelerating the company’s market share and revenue growth as more healthcare organizations look to ensure secure communication across the healthcare continuum.

Dowdy most recently served as Director of Sales at VorroHealth, following sales and business development roles at Covisint and GE Healthcare. She has a proven track record in building revenue, overseeing sales and operations teams and expanding a product’s reach into emerging markets.

“Rhonda brings the perfect combination of healthcare knowledge and technology expertise to our team. Her deep experience and relationships within the healthcare market will help position MD Interconnect for our next phase of growth,” explained Karen Hohenstein, MD Interconnect CEO and Co-founder. “The expansion of our management team and investment in our sales efforts builds on the momentum we have gained over the past two years with solid product development and key customer wins. We are now poised to aggressively expand our reach into the healthcare industry.”

“I believe in order to meet the high demands that are placed on providers today, we need to look at technologies that will help, not hinder their performance. I chose MD Interconnect because I believe they have the solution to do just that. The fact it was developed and refined by physicians was a plus,” said Dowdy. “I know many healthcare organizations have historically taken a siloed approach to communication and are now looking for solutions to help them communicate and collaborate more effectively across entire healthcare continuum. I look forward to helping them accomplish that.”

Created by physicians, for physicians, RapidConnect features a secure, HIPAA-compliant messaging platform for smartphones as well as a desktop version. Physicians, referring providers and other patient care providers can use RapidConnect to quickly reach the right provider at the right time. The solution allows inpatient and outpatient providers to coordinate consults, share results, communicate patient information, notify for patient arrivals, process admissions and more.

Unlike other solutions, RapidConnect intelligently routes each message to ensure delivery to the right provider, automatically taking call schedules, individual workflows, hierarchies and other variables into consideration.

To ensure a successful implementation and continuous user adoption, MD Interconnect provides all RapidConnect users with unparalleled implementation support and ongoing account management from experts with direct clinical experience. RapidConnect clients pay one flat fee, but receive unlimited app downloads throughout the entire health system including both inpatient and outpatient resources.
