New features include upgraded messaging capabilities, enhanced user customization, additional administrative functionality and new scheduling integrations

Raleigh, N.C. July 17, 2017MD Interconnect, a mobile health technology company announced today that it has released RapidConnect version 3.5 – its most extensive upgrade to date.

The upgrades included in RapidConnect version 3.5 make it even easier to connect to the right provider at the right time. The enhancements were designed based on feedback and suggestions from more than 4,000 users sending more than 1,000 messages per day. The upgrade will increase user adoption and overall customer satisfaction by giving customers the flexibility they want, with no change to their behavior and/or workflow, and no additional investments in new technology.

Upgraded Messaging Capabilities
RapidConnect’s new SecureText All feature makes it easier to share information with multiple caregivers, streamlining communication and collaboration for better patient care. Automated calls via an embedded hyperlink can be initiated from any message with just one click.

If a user is unavailable, the message sender will now know that prior to typing and sending the message so they can adjust their outreach accordingly. Users also gain the ability to see exact read times for messages sent.

Shift changes in call schedules have always been problematic. In the RapidConnect 3.5 release, messages will follow the role versus the individual. For example, if a user wants to “Reply” to a message after a shift change, the new person covering that role (i.e. Cardiology on call) will receive the entire message chain.

Enhanced User Customization
Other enhancements are focused on improving user adoption and overall customer satisfaction. Additional call routing enhancements, including Practice Call Routing, build on RapidConnect’s unique Message Preference Routing capabilities to automatically adjust how messages are routed, based on a practice’s specific business processes.

New and improved defaults with QuickText messages accelerate the user on-boarding process, while still offering a range of customization options. One such customization option now allows users to select their own notification sounds.

Escalation preferences and RapidPair functionality (the ability for a proxy to respond to a message on the providers behalf) have also been added to the mobile platform to enable quick access for users.

Improved Administrative Capabilities
New system management capabilities give in-hospital platform admins and customer support personnel the ability to modify user availability, change user settings, and to escalate message settings to improve communication and response times. They can also build call schedule reports and schedule receipt of those reports via email at regular intervals to ensure Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) compliance.

New Scheduling Integrations
Finally, integration with AMiON and QGenda physician scheduling software complements RapidConnect’s existing integration with Lightning Bolt Solutions, giving customers the flexibility to continue using their scheduling solution of choice, while leveraging the rich functionality of RapidConnect. MD Interconnect has also created a robust framework for future integrations with additional industry-leading call scheduling solutions, proprietary customer scheduling solutions, and other complementary technologies.
